Whitefield Export Promotion Park Industrial Association (WEPPIA) formed through
initiatives taken by some dynamic organization located in Export Promotion Park
(EPIP) on 05th December 2005 under the Karnataka Society Registration Act of 1960.
The Objective of the Association was to protect and promote the interests of the
industries by sharing information as well as to provide a forum for addressing common
problems confronting the industries. The Association has addressed many core issues
concerning the industries in common, foremost among them being the lack of infrastructure
within the park.
After handing over by KIADB in 2009, WEPPIA has brought in Developmental Activities
worth 90 crores through Visvesvaraya Industrial Trade Centre (VITC) Under ASIDE
Scheme, for development of internal roads, drains and two underpasses connecting
EPIP, WEPPIA Contributing 4.5 crores. Through VITC Project, Roads within the park
were re-surfaced; Strom Water Drains, ducting for services, pavements works were
carried out, By this Initiative EPIP had been transformed into a clean and well
maintained Park., And also Ensured Sufficient water supply to each and every organization
was quickly restored through repair of the inoperative bore wells as well as organizing
additional sources. New water pipelines were laid all over the park to serve all
the units in the Park.
